Free Virtual CME Event  –  Coping With The Emotional Toll Of Working In This New COVID Era

First of all, USC would like to thank the dedicated medical professionals – doctors, nurses, sonographers, administrative/support staff – for your heroic efforts on the front lines of patient care in these unprecedented times.

In light of this, we have shifted the focus of our upcoming CME course on stress management and burnout prevention and now targeted it toward this immediate COVID-19 crisis.   We will now focus on mental health and coping during COVID-19.  Our CME seminar has been revamped to help healthcare workers specifically facing the unique and potentially overwhelming anxiety, tension, and challenges created amidst this pandemic – how to get through it with more peace and calm to take care of yourself and your family, as well as show up and do what you need to do at work.

This CME event will now be FREE and done virtually via Zoom to give you the valuable information you need without having to leave home. It will take place from 7 – 8 PM on Tuesday, April 28, 2020.

Our speaker for this virtual event on mental health and coping during COVID-19 will be our original speaker, Dr. Stacey Funt.   Dr. Funt is a practicing Radiologist, national board-certified Health/Wellness Coach, and Clinical Instructor in Lifestyle Medicine at Stony Brook University Hospital. She strongly believes that self-care belongs in healthcare and she works extensively with healthcare professionals to support wellness. Through interactive workshops, grand rounds, retreats, and coaching, Dr. Funt supports value-based living, stress management techniques, positive psychology, and metacognition for optimal well-being. Dr. Funt trained at NYU and Mount Sinai Medical Centers and is the founder of Lifestyle Health, LLC.  We thank Dr. Funt for re-designing her presentation.

We truly hope you join us on April 28th for this much-needed event. In the meantime, thank you, again, for all that you are doing.

Take care, keep well, and stay safe!
