Medical Ultrasound Awareness Month 2019

This entry was posted in News and tagged on by .

October is Medical Ultrasound Awareness Month (MUAM)!  The purpose of MUAM is to encourage the public to learn more about ultrasound and how it is increasingly being recognized as a vital medical tool.  It also provides ultrasound professionals a chance to celebrate their profession.

Six ultrasound organizations—the American Institute of Ultrasound in Medicine (AIUM), the Society of Diagnostic Medical Sonography (SDMS), the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS), Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI), the Society for Vascular Ultrasound (SVU) and the American Society of Echocardiography (ASE)—join together every year to sponsor Medical Ultrasound Awareness Month (MUAM).

Here at USC, we recognize and appreciate the continuing hard work and dedication of sonographers.  We support their continuing education and career development by hosting workshops and events right here in our Ronkonkoma headquarters.

We invite you to check out our diverse schedule of continuing education events and welcome you to come and network with fellow sonographers.
