ULTRASOUND SOLUTIONS CORP. is pleased to welcome Janet Sterritt, BSEE, Founder and COO of Salient Imaging, for a peek at the use of Artificial Intelligence in the field of sonographic imaging.
Description:
Artificial Intelligence (AI) is being implemented throughout many industries, from banking to healthcare. Yet, the imaging field is skeptical as to how it can be used. Is AI useful in medical imaging? What improvements can it bring? Is it good; how good? This course will define AI and key types of technology that make up AI, show how AI is applied to medical imaging, discuss determining benefit versus detriment of AI, and then show specific examples of AI already in use for breast, abdominal, and vascular ultrasound. The presentation will finish with a glimpse into future horizons made possible with AI. (Approved for 1 SDMS CME credit)
Course Objectives: Upon completion of this educational activity, the participant will be able to:
• Define Artificial Intelligence (AI) for medical imaging
• Identify the steps used by AI
• Discuss AI, from automated measurements, machine learning, and other similar techniques
• State how to evaluate AI products
