ULTRASOUND SOLUTIONS CORP. is pleased to present Dr. Robert J. Feezor,
Associate Professor and Chief of Cardiothoracic/Vascular Surgery for University of Florida – Halifax Health, in an informative session on ultrasound’s role in Endovascular Aneurysm Repair. This course is presented in collaboration with IFSER. We thank them for their generouse support!
Course Description
The treatment of aortic pathologies has experienced an evolution in the past 25 years, in which open surgical techniques are often replaced with minimally invasive endovascular procedures. Strict post-operative surveillance is mandatory, and ultrasound is frequently employed to routinely follow patients to confirm that the devices implanted are indeed achieving the intended goal of excluding the aneurysm. This event will cover concepts intrinsic to the use of ultrasound in the post-repair monitoring of aneurysms and identification of endoleaks – blood flow within the aneurysm sac, but outside the implanted stent. (Approved for 1 SDMS CME credit)
