Are you maximizing all of your tools to get the best image possible? Although manufacturers have made ultrasound units very easy to use and have incorporated advanced technologies, there can still be room for improvement. This course will provide a discussion on core instrumentation options used, as well as newer cutting-edge features. Attendees will learn how to recognize the physics behind the controls that enhance image optimization. (Approved for 1 SDMS CME credit)
Course Objectives: Upon completion of this educational activity, the participant will be able to:
Describe the function of various controls.
Identify the advantages of various controls used for image optimization.
Discuss scenarios when some controls may or may not be used to improve image quality.
About Our Speaker:
Cathie Scholl, DHSc, RDMS, RVT, is an experienced sonographer and educator in multiple ultrasound specialties, including Abdomen, OB/GYN, Breast, and Vascular imaging. She currently holds the position of Associate Professor within the Cardiovascular Sonography Program at Nova Southeastern University in Tampa, Florida. Cathie also volunteers for the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonography as a Subject Matter Expert and serves on the Editorial Board of the Journal of Diagnostic Medical Sonography. In her free time, she works in an outpatient radiology facility and enjoys the beautiful Gulf Coast!
This activity has been approved for 1.0 SDMS CME credit.
The CME participant roster will be reported by Ultrasound Solutions Corp. to the SDMS CME Tracker System.
SDMS no longer allows us to issue Partial Credit for your participation in USC Ultrasound CME events. If you join late or leave early, the SDMS will no longer permit us to award partial pro-rated credit.
Therefore, from now on, in order to receive CME credit, you must be in attendance for the ENTIRE event via your own unique Zoom link that Zoom emailed to you when you registered. Then, and only then, will USC be able to award you any credit. So please be prompt and attentive to the time schedule.
