ULTRASOUND SOLUTIONS CORP. is excited to welcome back Dr. Joy Guthrie, PhD, ACS, RDMS, RDCS, RVT, FSDMS, FASE, Program Director of the Community Regional Medical Center Diagnostic Medical Sonography and Advanced Cardiac Sonography Programs, for an enlightening discussion on Middle Cerebral Artery Doppler.
Course Description:
Who knew that Middle Cerebral Artery (MCA) Doppler is considered the most important diagnostic metric for disease in both adults and the fetus? The analysis of the MCA Doppler waveforms is the pivotal data needed to diagnose a multitude of anomalies within a lifetime, including, but not limited to: Fetal Anemia, Placental Insufficiency, Hypoxic Ischemic Encephalopathy, Sickle Cell Anemia, Cryptogenic Stroke, and Vasospasm. This presentation will provide an extensive overview of the clinical value of MCA Doppler throughout a person’s life. (Approved for 1 SDMS CME credit, provided one is present for the entire event)

About Our Speaker:
Joy Guthrie, PhD, ACS, RDMS, RDCS, RVT, FSDMS, FASE, works clinically as the Advanced Practice Sonographer in all imaging modalities at Community Regional Medical Center in Fresno, CA. She is also the Program Director of the CRMC Diagnostic Medical Sonography and Advanced Cardiac Sonography Programs. Joy is a Past President of SDMS and is actively involved in sonographer-led research.
This activity is an approved SDMS CME activity – approved for 1.0 SDMS CME credit.
Please note that partial credit will not be issued.
The CME participant roster will be reported by Ultrasound Solutions Corp. to the
SDMS CME Tracker System.
Important update from the SDMS:
SDMS no longer allows its CME providers to issue Partial Credit for attendance. If you join late or leave early, the SDMS will no longer permit us to award partial pro-rated credit.
Therefore, from now on, in order to receive CME credit, you must be in attendance for the ENTIRE event via your own unique Zoom link that Zoom emailed to you when you registered. Then, and only then, will USC be able to award you any credit. So, please be prompt and attentive to the time schedule. We apologize for any inconvenience, but again, this is a new SDMS policy we must abide by. Thank you for understanding.
