The role of Ultrasound to evaluate breast tissue has been expanding as a practical solution, particularly in the assessment of dense breast tissue. Additionally, sonographic visualization is quite valuable when localizing palpable and non-palpable masses before surgical excision. This course will provide an overview of basic anatomy and pathology of the breast, as well as discussing how to correlate breast imaging with other modalities. Tips and tricks on how to optimize image quality will also be discussed. (Approved for 1 SDMS CME credit)

Course Objectives: Upon completion of this educational activity, the participant will be able to:
• Identify breast anatomy
• Discuss breast pathology
• Correlate sonographic breast imaging with other modalities
• State techniques to optimize sonographic breast imaging

About Our Speaker:

Jeanine Rybyinski, RDMS, RVT, is a Sonographer at Inspira Health Network in Vineland, NJ. She has over 20 years of experience in Sonography and currently works in a dedicated Breast Imaging Center. Through her work experience, she has had the opportunity to learn and teach about some of the many different pathologies and pitfalls of Breast Sonography.
Jeanine is an active member of the Society for Diagnostic Medical Sonography and she has provided Breast Imaging lectures for local and national conferences. Jeanine is passionate about sharing her knowledge and experience to help other Sonographers have the confidence to produce high quality diagnostic exams.
