Course Description:
Are you preparing to take an Abdominal Sonography registry exam or do you simply enjoy an opportunity to refresh and test your current abdominal sonography knowledge? Either way, this event will provide a review of the anatomy, pathology, sonographic appearances, and Doppler patterns for abdominal, superficial structures, and other organs systems included in abdomen registry examinations. (Approved for 1 SDMS CME credit, provided one is present for the entire event)

About Our Speaker:
Claudia J. Innaco, BS, RDMS, RDCS, RVS, is one of the Program Directors at Northwell Health’s Center for Learning and Innovation. Claudia has been active is the sonography community since graduating from SUNY Downstate Health Sciences University (Brooklyn, NY) with a Bachelor of Science in Diagnostic Medical Imaging. Her career has been mostly focused on sonography education, including having been the Director of Clinical Education for the School of Diagnostic Medical Sonography at Long Island University, Program Director of the School of the Diagnostic Medical Sonography at Western Suffolk BOCES, and an Adjunct Instructor at Molloy University’s Cardiovascular Technology Program. She has worked clinically as a Sonographer/Echocardiographer for many years and was Technical Director of an IAC (Intersocietal Accreditation Commission) Adult Echocardiography accredited facility, Coordinator of Quality Assurance for an ACR (American College of Radiology) accredited ultrasound facility, and Instructor of sonography/echocardiography for Medical and Physician Assistant students. Additionally, she is a published author.
Claudia continues to give back to the sonography community by volunteering in numerous ways – for the Society of Diagnostic Medical Sonography (SDMS) on the Infection Control Task Force; for the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) as a Continuing Medical Education (CME) Reviewer and Maintenance of Certification Item Reviewer; and for the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP)/Joint Review Committee on Education in Diagnostic Medical Sonography (JRC-DMS) as a Site Visitor.
This activity has been approved for 1.0 SDMS CME credit.
The CME participant roster will be reported by Ultrasound Solutions Corp. to the SDMS CME Tracker System.
Important update from the SDMS:
SDMS no longer allows its CME providers to issue Partial Credit for attendance. If you join late or leave early, the SDMS will no longer permit us to award partial pro-rated credit.
Therefore, from now on, in order to receive CME credit, you must be in attendance for the ENTIRE event via your own unique Zoom link that Zoom emailed to you when you registered. Then, and only then, will USC be able to award you any credit. So, please be prompt and attentive to the time schedule. We apologize for any inconvenience, but again, this is a new SDMS policy we must abide by. Thank you for understanding.
