“Put Your Phone Away!”: Addressing Unprofessional Behavior in Students and Employees

October 9 @ 7:00 pm 8:00 pm EDT

ULTRASOUND SOLUTIONS CORP. is delighted to welcome Robert C. Moody, Jr., PhD, MS, BS, RVT, for an eye-opening discussion on how to deal with unprofessional behaviors among those in our healthcare field.

Course Description:

Many of us are familiar with frustration caused by the Student Sonographer or imaging co-worker who seems to violate the rules of professionalism. But, did you know that there are methods of creating solutions to these disturbing behaviors using dispute system designs? This lecture will address what unprofessional behaviors are, their causes, and help us understand what we can do to effectively change these unprofessional patterns. (Approved for 1 SDMS CME credit, provided one is present for the entire event.)

Course Objectives:  Upon completion of this educational activity, the participant will be able to:

  • Recognize and describe the most common unprofessional behaviors and what potentially causes their onset.
  • State solutions to unprofessional behaviors that could mold more positive professional comportment in both students and staff members.
  • Describe dispute system designs that avoid and address existing conflict via productive, educational methods rather than typical punitive measures.
