We are pleased to present Laurie-Ann Murabito, BS, RVT, RDCS Sonographer, Business Coach, & Speaking Strategist for a discussion on developing better communication techniques with patients and colleagues. Join us for Communicate to Connect!
Effective communicators understand communication goes beyond the spoken word. As a matter of fact, words have very little to do with how others understand you. Mistakes in communication lead to mistrust, hurt feelings, and misunderstanding. This event is focused on teaching Sonographers how to connect while speaking with patients and colleagues in ways that will assist in the process of gathering and delivering critical information. (Approved for 1 SDMS CME credit)
Upon completion of this educational activity, the participant will be able to:
- Describe the 3 components of communication, and which one contributes more to connection
- Discuss methods of connecting with patients, staff, and others authentically, so that concepts are expressed eloquently
- Recognize ways of using rapport to quickly connect, build trust, and easily influence
- Identify ways to improve team engagement with clear expectations and sincerity
