Course Description:
Pulmonary Hypertension (PH) is a complex and often misunderstood disease. Proper diagnosis of this condition is vital to preserving the function of lungs, heart, and associated vessels. This lecture will focus on pathophysiology, echocardiographic image acquisition, and reporting to guide treatment for Pulmonary Hypertension. (Approved for 1 SDMS CME credit, provided one is present for the entire event)

About Our Speaker:
Margaret M. Park, BS, ACS, RVT, RDCS, FSDMS, FASE, better known as “Koko”, is well established as a leader in cardiovascular multimodality imaging, education, and research. Ms. Park has a Bachelor of Science degree from the Oregon Institute of Technology and holds credentials as ACS, RVT, and RDCS. She is a Fellow of the Society of Diagnostic Medical Sonography (SDMS) and the American Society of Echocardiography (ASE). Koko has published two books on sonography education, authored nine book chapters, has 37 publications in peer reviewed journals and 35 scientific abstracts. She has presented 134 lectures at local, national, and international meetings and recorded over 16 live webinars. Koko currently serves as Director for the Intersocietal Accreditation Commission (IAC) and is on the Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI) Board of Advisors. In addition to volunteering for IAC and CCI, Koko also volunteers with the SDMS, ARDMS, and the American Society of Echocardiography (ASE). Koko was the recipient of the 2017 ASE Lifetime Achievement Award. Locally, she is a founding member of the Northern Ohio Cardiac Imaging Association and volunteers at her local zoo imaging the Great Apes.
This activity is an approved SDMS CME activity – approved for 1.0 SDMS CME credit.

Important update from the SDMS:
SDMS no longer allows its CME providers to issue Partial Credit for attendance. If you join late or leave early, the SDMS will no longer permit us to award partial pro-rated credit.
Therefore, from now on, in order to receive CME credit, you must be in attendance for the ENTIRE event via your own unique Zoom link that Zoom emailed to you when you registered. Then, and only then, will USC be able to award you any credit. So, please be prompt and attentive to the time schedule.
